alessandro botto

This series of painting by Alessandro Botto might be familiar as we have seen some similarity with some photography work, but compare to photography I liken more towards Alessandro's painting as it has certain fluidity where photography hasn't capture it.

UK based artist Alessandro was born in Lima, Peru, and is a self-taught painter holding a degree in architecture and a masters in industrial design. Alessandro moved to the United States in 1995 to study architecture and to complete a masters in industrial design in New York, he later moved to London in 2005. After working as an architect in New York and London, he developed an interest in painting that helped him create a personal language and technique, and now paints full time in his studio in England. Alessandro has exhibited his paintings in galleries and private collections in London, New York and Lima. Working with acrylics on MDF slats and canvas, his paintings are inspired by the relationship between beauty and chaos, and are also influenced by fashion and urban landscapes. His work explores movement through the analysis of balance, velocity and the hierarchy of elements within a composition.

  1. Wow! Absolutely amazing striking. Folding a map can fold meaning and the world in consequence.
