tomahawk hair dryers

Amazing design of hairdryers. By Jean Baptiste Fastrez.

A great craft tradition surrounds handle making. Often made out of wood, a handle confers functionality to an object, usability, but also beauty, presence and character. The hairdryer being a contemporary tool, it is interesting to confront it to this crafting tradition and try to pass on its traditional values. Every hairdryer has technical main body manufactured industrially. Turned, sculpted or reamed, each handle is made by independants craftmen and adapts to the technical body. It completes it esthetically but can also change its usage, by suggesting a new way of holding it.
