Boabab is one of Ionna Vautrin’s latest designs that was shown at the 2012 Milan Furniture Fair. Baobab is a table/console that has an atypical shape inspired by Baobab trees. Like those found in nature, Baobab maintains a thick base with thin branches that lead to functional mirrors/table surfaces of different heights. Designed by Ionna Vautrin in collaboration with Moustache.

This table and the console show atypical morphology of a Baobab : a massive strain tapering into different branches topped by a longitudinal foliage. These are equipped with furniture, side trays or pivoting mirrors located at different heights. This collection, made of Corian, proposes to go beyond the formal possibilities of this material. Commonly used form of panels, Corian footprint by more formal vocabulary and modeled sculpture.
