Chairs Up-Cycled From Pellets Combine With Art Decor Patterens

Korea-based designers Craft Combine have elevated the utilitarian industrial pallet with patterns, printed on acrylic, affixed to simple chairs made from the wood parts of ready-for-scrap pallets. The designers were inspired by the history of pallet itself for the design of the chairs. “Pallets were developed in the 1800’s and progressed through the Second World War and started mass production in the early 1900’s. Our pattern study was inspired by Art Deco, the prevalent design style at the moment pallets become ubiquitous.”
