world's first augmented reality stamp

Showing the future with every mail you sent. Brilliant. The augmented reality stamps was designed by Dutch design agency Gummo.

Dutch design agency Gummo was awarded a prestigious commission to design a new series of postage stamps for the TNT Post (now Post NL). Gummo made the most of the specified theme of not-yet-realised architecture in the Netherlands, and created the world’s first Augmented Reality (AR) stamp. The AR stamp brings another dimension to the two dimensional stamp, and brings the five not-yet-constructed buildings to life. Each of the twelvel stamps contains an AR tracking code which when held in front of a webcam (when visiting the website) will trigger a 3D rendering of the buildings. The buildings were selected in cooperation with NAi, the Dutch Architectural Institute.
