in-ei

Artemide together with Issey Miyake’s Miyake Design Studio have come up with the exquisite IN-EI, which in Japanese means “shadow, shading.” A play of light and shade that is obtained by folding and unfolding a sheet of recycled material. The fabric, made out of recycled PET, reflects light very well and is firm enough to allow the lamp-sculpture to assume and maintain a three-dimensional shape without additional structures. All that needs to be added are the LEDs, which provide the light. IN-EI is on display at Artemide, Corso Monforte 19 and Via Manzoni 12.
